Delegation

Business is all about sensing a thing might work.

And then building it to see if it gains some traction.

And after that, relentlessly delegate all tasks to someone such that it would work.

Your work is never to constantly create.

Nor to sell.

Your work is to constantly delegate and retain control.

Your work is to identify opportunities.

Build initial traction and then delegation.

Delegation by nature means things would be lower than the standard you anticipate most of the time.

Delegation means half-assed shit is done.

And that is perfectly fine.

Mark Zuckerberg, whatever code he would write, would be much better than what the current team writes.

And it might not even fit his standards.

But still, the organization runs.

So it is not about what you think should be the shadow of quality.

It’s about delegating and somehow it all running.

So pipe down with your standards.

Just know what the task needs to be.

And let them half-ass it.

Just get it done.

Half-assed work with volume is way better than few perfect pieces.

These are the first principles.

Getting volume without drowning in work.

So don’t fantasize that you are doing everything in a business.

You’re a very dumb businessman if you’re running your business that way.

There is an insect in your head that makes you think that nothing must be seen by the world unless it is very high standard and perfect.

And that insect is keeping you from being successful.

The world must just see.

Be it good, bad, half-assed.

They’d rather watch the worst player play than listen to an armchair perfectionist talk.

The bar is low.

Drop your standards.

Drop to the level of the bar.

Being above the standards never helped anyone.

You can breathe on the ground where everyone is.

Not in the damn stratosphere.

You will die in obscurity.

Lock in.

And building might not even be the requirement.

You have to just be a traction capturer.

Now what is a traction capturer?

Anything that can target the primal in the human.

No need for it to be your original creation.

Maybe you can get inspired or outright copy.

You just wanna capture, grow, and sustain the traction.

And you wanna do it by delegation.

By abstraction.

We are in the business of traction via abstraction and delegation.
